This is the e-mail response from Papa John’s when asked which of their menu items are vegan.

Your website says that the garlic sauce’s lactic acid is not animal derived because it has been fermented, but fermentation has nothing to do with the source it came from. Does the lactic acid come from an animal source? we thanks you for the question regarding Papa John’s Garlic Sauce, The only sugestion that i could give is for you to go online at Papa John’s.com and there are Nutritional information on this site and hopefully you can get the answer.
